Protected Eagles and Owls for Sale

What to do about this man who sells Eagles and Owls each day by the roadside in Jakarta ? :( They are supposed to be protected birds, what sort of idiot would buy a bird like that to keep in a cage ? I assume he pays off the police.

Yes, thanks. I will forward this information to our Campaign Officer. Indeed we still find a lot of those kind of street vendors, not just in Jakarta, but in many cities. Anyway this kind of report and data on wild animals trade helps ProFauna to encourage government to enforce the law (we regularly investigate and monitor the animals trade especially on bird markets in Java and Bali), like we did before in Jatinegara in April 2009.
